 John went through a loving/kissing stage to baby Dominic, then an anger/let's see what I can get away with/smacking and biting stage. Now he's back to loving on him, sharing his toys, and trying to pick him up when he cries. I know find him putting Dominic in a head lock while trying to give him a big hug. John loves to make him laugh by pushing him high in the swing, making funny faces, or just trying to play with him.
Dominic loves to follow John Phillip around these days, especially in the tent!

I eat, I crawl, I sit....I'm 6 months old

Dominic is currently at my favorite age. Cute, plump, rolly polly inch worm. He is always happy and his smile lights up the room. He loves to scoot across the room to find me in the kitchen, or chase after John Phillip. He just learned how to sit up now too. He started eating rice cereal and is doing a fabulous job. He is sleeping better now too, yay. Out of all the nick names we've given him, the one we most stick with is "Stuffin's." He's gotten beat up on a lot this month by big brother, John. But he's taken it like a champ and is one tough baby now.
We love you, Dominic Joseph. Thank you for lighting up our days with your personality and charm!

Interests: Big time splashing in bath or pool, grass, anyone's toes, my hands, looking out the window, following my big brother, teething toys, smiling.

Sweet Summertime Bliss

   Oh Summer, where are you going?! Don't leave me! You're not over yet, but I feel you slipping by.

We have had such a fun, wonderful, adventureous, surprising, family-filled, dad-at-home (yay!), SUMMER. Me and Phil have enjoyed some fun dates from as simple as movies, coffee and rummy games, and tennis, to horseback riding trough Garden of the gods. I have thoroughly enjoyed having him home this summer! I have taken advantage and had him do many projects for me, even watch Anne of Green Gables with me. He is such a good sport. We can enjoy everything together which makes me so happy I married not only my life long love, but my dearest friend. He is now back to work and we're missing him much.

Some family things we've enjoyed doing are evening bike rides that end at Dairy Queen or YoYogurt, weekly concerts in the park, kiddie pool time with John, parades, Pikes Peak Rodeo, Zoo, Aquarium, and fun gatherings with our wonderful friends.

And of course to top off the list was our amazing vacation to Nashville, Ohio, and St. Louis to see our families (and some close friends)! Oh what fun we had visiting each and every one of them. We miss them all too much all the time so there were many memories we'll be holding onto till the next gathering in November. Of course no matter how long we stay, it always goes by way to quickly. It's hard for me to feel like I really get to visit and talk with each person long enough now that my head and mind are always following my little explorer, John, around. But it was still wonderful and cherished in every way.

What's left to do: Camping excursion, hot air balloon ride, 5k Race to Royal Gorge?

Brothers, Best Buds, Better Together

John and Dominic love to be around each other. Watching them together is one of mine and Phil's favorite things to do. I love catching them in their moments when trying to talk to each other, or John sharing his toys with Dominic, trying to lay on him, or feed him his food. Dominic could be fussy, but if big brother John comes around then he's happy and laughing again. John loves to make him laugh. One of the first things he does in the morning is lay on Dominic for a hug and gives him a big ol' kiss. These days are truly sweet and I hope to cherish every one of them.
