I am definitely not ready for winter! My favorite season is coming to an end and it's quite depressing. Maybe that's why the holidays are strategically planned right around the corner. :) The days are slow but they seem to pass by waaaay too fast all the same. We've been able to do so many fun things this season together with our little family. I know we'll never get these days back so I'm trying to hold onto these memories as long as I can. My life is truly blessed and as tiring as it may be sometimes, I couldn't be happier. My little men and big strong man (hehe) keep me perfectly content and busy enough to have too many mood swings. Thank you Jesus for a blessed and fun fall season!

Sweet and Sneaky
Dominic is still is his cute and can do no harm phase for the most part. But we've discovered that he's a little sneak lately. We get on John for pushing or hiting Dominic when Dominic starts to get his toys or annoy him, but we've figured out that Dominc likes to bother John and thinks it's funny. So when we really observe what's happening, Dominic bother's John, starts laughing, John get upset so he pushes him, Dominic looks at us and wimpers, then we correct John, and Dominic does it all over again. And his temper is starting to come out when he wants something....he usually scrunches up his nose, starts sniffing/snorting profusely, or yelling. Dominic loves to follow John around and tries to be big like him by climbing on everything and usually getting himself in trouble. Yesterday he did a front flip out of the tub onto the floor while I was drying John off. Oh dear...
I like to wrestle big brother, John Phillip.
I like to eat big boy food.
Mom says my smile melts her heart.
I sleep like a fat marshmellow.
I like to climb and walk on everything these days.
I get in all kinds of accidents, including burning my fingers.
I love talking to and hanging out with John.
I like my morning cartoons.
Naughty or Nice
John is "going through a phase."...or so we hope that's what it is. He's quite the lover and can be very sweet to us and Dominic with hugs and kisses for everyone. But he has had his early "terrible two's" start and likes to test us in all areas, always trying to get away with things, or doing things just to get a reaction. Many tantrums every complete our days. He has also refused to sleep in his crib anymore and has graduated to the bed or couch. The video of him climbing out is pretty ridiculous. He is such a people person and is always wanting someone to chase him, entertain him, throw him around. Despite the bad behavior lately, he has such a funny personality. He's going to be one fun-loving/adventurous kid and it's been a joy to see that come out. Here's some pics and videos.

I don't like to sleep in my crib anymore! Proof: Crib Climbing
I like to make funny faces.
I usually watch TV like this and mimic the movie lines like this: John's Favorite Movie Line
I love to sit in Daddy's cabnet and play with his stuff.
I like to try on different shoes and insist on wearing Dominic's pants.

I LOVE to hide things from Mom and Dad in this black hole.
And I love to kiss my baby brother and play with him. Being nice...then naughty

Apple/Rasberry Picking
We had a fun time two weeks ago at the apple farm! Note to self: bring wagon next time. By the end of the day, me and Phil were exhausted. But the memories of John eating all the rasberries and having fun picking his own apples made it all worth it. Phil did a fabulous job finding all the perfect rasberries. For me there's something so therapeutic, fun, nastalgic, about going apple picking. It filled me to the brim. Can't wait to have my own apple tree some day. :) Maybe goal #5? There was also a fun hay ride and good food. We have all eaten our apple a day and a delicious "apple crisp a la mode" was made a week later. The rasberries did not last long and we had to hide them from our snatcher, John Phillip. Yay for apple farms.
On Sunday we went to the park to visit with friends and feed the ducks. What a good time! We are blessed with some good friendships here....and hungry ducks.
Greg and Phil with the kiddies. Who's having more fun?

Labor Day in Beloit
Kansas always brings us a many good and joyous times together with family. We've begun to grow a deep appreciation for the state. ;)
We got to go to Ft. Riley and Beloit to visit family over Labor day weekend and had such a great time. Here are some captured memories that we're holding onto.
