Big Brothers

Life around the Simpson home has been simple, yet tiring...trying, but ever so enjoyable.

New baby brother, Isaac, has brought much curiosity to John and Dominic. It's really cute to see them so interested in him and so sweet as well...so far! Whenever I'm changing Isaac's diaper, they both try to climb up the playpen to see what's going on. John yells, "see, see!" and Dominic just grunts. I had to use cotton balls with water to sprinkle on Isaac for a couple days, so one day I found Isaac covered in cotton balls. John thought he was being such a good helper. One time when I was changing Isaac's diaper, John decided he wanted to rub some vaseline on Isaac's head to help out.

Everything is going great here for the most part. Recovered quickly thanks to family coming out to help. Now we're just trying to get back into a routine and restart life with three little boys. I'm looking forward to this year and the cuteness it will bring. :)

Isaac Francis

 

From the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew, this boy is special...a miracle...given to us to enrich our lives, just like your other brothers. You are truly beautiful, Isaac Francis.

 

As your Daddy says, you were born with your eyes open! Ready to see the world and all it has waiting for you. You have been pretty alert ever since, so smart and curious to what's going on around you. You are one strong little guy too! You always want to lift your head up and look around.

 

When they laid you in my arms, I really couldn't believe how cute you were. I instantly fell in love with you. I always feel so close to heaven when I hold my babies for the first time. You gave me this feeling too, and when I looked into your eyes, you looked so familiar....and you looked at me as if you knew right away that I was your Mama...staring at me with a look I wish I could capture forever.

 

You came so fast, I thought...Hmm, maybe this is going to be an easy happy baby. You are a pretty happy boy so far, but I can tell you have a fighting spirit too. You are pretty feisty when you want something! And it seems like you already want to play with John and Dominic. But I guess that's good since you'll have to fight pretty hard to have your way here in this family with two big brothers that don't like to share or may push you around a bit. :)

 

Thank you for being ours! Thank you for the sweet smiles and looks you give us. You amaze us already. I still can't believe how lucky I am to have you as my son. I'll love you forever!
