Easter Bunnies

He has risen! Dear Lord, rise in my heart, rise in our children's hearts, rise in our married life! I love how springtime correlates with the springtime of the church...EASTER. The dark and gloomy is over because Christ has come to SAVE! Thank you for saving our souls Lord, and thank you for spring weather....which has also saved me right now. Hallelujah!
Oh, and thank you for my very cute Easter bunnies below. I love them very much.

Niewald Visit

Wow, these are such delayed posts. The Niewald's came for a visit the weekend of Isaac's baptism! Much fun was had even though Drew was gone for a lot of it, we made the most of our time with him too. Chic-fil-A on Saturday morning, baptism party, foot rubs, "spot it" games, some wrestling, and of course a little bit of shopping squeezed in. John and Dominic had so much fun with their cousins. John wanted to follow Nicholas everywhere.

Isaac's Baptism

Our sweet, smiley, now very saintly Isaac, was baptized March 23rd!
What a blessing you have already been in our lives, Isaac. You're teaching John and Dominic to be sweet, and showing Mommy and Daddy how much God loves us. Every time you smile or giggle, my heart skips a beat. You're my little sweetheart, and I will never stop kissing your cheeks!

Lent 2013

What are you giving up/ or doing for Lent? One thing I always like to do is Stations of the Cross every Friday. That always helps me focus on what's going on/prepares my heart for Easter. I also found a good spiritual read on gratitude, thanks to my sister, Maria.

"Have you noticed in the gospels that the only times we see Jesus being tempted by the devil are those in which Christ was in prayer or was doing penance ? It’s when he’s in prayer or fasting that he is assailed by the devil, as in today’s Gospel reading or in the Garden of Gethsemane on Holy Thursday. A similar pattern frequently appears in our lives, too. We make a decision to do something good and then promptly find it hard to do. What can we conclude from this? The fact is that when we’re mediocre, we run no risk of becoming holy and spoiling Satan’s plans . Thus, he has no concern for us. It’s when we start to strive for holiness that we will find ourselves face-to-face with temptation, because the devil begins to put all sorts of obstacles in our paths."

Don't be discouraged in your prayer if you are tempted, distracted, find you are getting nowhere...it's probably the devil making you think it's pointless. I hope you are successful in your lenten resolutions by overcoming temptation and defeating the devil's sneaky ways!

My Valentine Love bugs

Auntie Ange gave the boys these outfits for Christmas and I've been wanting to capture their cuteness in them for a while now...a lot harder to take pictures of all three of them than I thought! Will wait for Dad to come home next time. I should post the others of Isaac spitting up, Dominic pushing Isaac off of him, John crying for his pacifier, etc. But we managed to get a couple somehow. If I could, I would send their kisses as a Valentine to you! :)

Big Brothers

Life around the Simpson home has been simple, yet tiring...trying, but ever so enjoyable.

New baby brother, Isaac, has brought much curiosity to John and Dominic. It's really cute to see them so interested in him and so sweet as well...so far! Whenever I'm changing Isaac's diaper, they both try to climb up the playpen to see what's going on. John yells, "see, see!" and Dominic just grunts. I had to use cotton balls with water to sprinkle on Isaac for a couple days, so one day I found Isaac covered in cotton balls. John thought he was being such a good helper. One time when I was changing Isaac's diaper, John decided he wanted to rub some vaseline on Isaac's head to help out.

Everything is going great here for the most part. Recovered quickly thanks to family coming out to help. Now we're just trying to get back into a routine and restart life with three little boys. I'm looking forward to this year and the cuteness it will bring. :)
